Family Engagement Worker

Hours of work; 16 hours a week fixed term until 31st April 2024.

Salary scale;     £18,562  Pro rata  (incremental rise process currently under review)

The post is subject to references, criminal records disclosure and a six-month probationary period.

We are delighted to have gained funding from the Big Lottery for our new project, Parenting Together and created a wonderful opportunity, for a bright individual to join our experienced friendly team as a Community Engagement Worker.

 

This is a part time post to develop and deliver our weekly Home-Start Together community group sessions, with volunteer support.

 

You will have experience of working with children and arranging play sessions or mother and toddler groups. You will have lots of enthusiasm, and the ability to work autonomously. You will possess a good understanding of child development and the benefit of parental involvement and understand the range of family issues affecting children’s outcomes.

 

You will have excellent interpersonal skills to engage families, and oodles of confidence, to sing, sign, read stories, and play musical instruments, with the babies, children, and their parents.
